See My Work ↓Primary researcher on an active mixed-methods study examining information access barriers for undocumented immigrants. Designed a three-function mobile app including an AI plain-language legal interface, community-vetted resource hub, and emergency preparedness system. Research conducted in Spanish with community-based participants.
View Prototype →Collaborated with a small interior design business to evaluate and improve their project workflow. Conducted user research, heuristic evaluations, and redesigned their website for clarity and better onboarding.

Grounded in primary quantitative research (N=95, r=−0.230, p=.025) proving compulsive buying decreases wellbeing. Applied Fogg Behavior Model and behavioral economics to design Digital Product Passports, gamified sustainability milestones, and a ReCommerce trade-in hub.
Designed and developed a product-aware AI chatbot using real L'Oréal brand data from CeraVe, Garnier, Lancôme and more. Users browse and select products, then receive a personalized skincare or beauty routine generated by the OpenAI API. Includes follow-up conversation, product search filtering, and localStorage to persist selections across sessions.

Hi! I'm Evelin Tolentino, an incoming MIMS student at UC Berkeley and Human Systems Engineering graduate from Arizona State University (Magna Cum Laude, 3.6 GPA). I design at the intersection of research, systems thinking, and human experience, specializing in UX research, human-centered design, and mixed-methods research for complex systems and underserved populations.
My current work centers on Listo, an AI-assisted legal readiness tool for undocumented immigrants, rooted in primary research conducted in Spanish with community-based participants, combining mixed-methods study design and prototype testing. My previous projects apply behavioral economics to circular design systems, real client UX audits, and functional AI products.
I spent 4+ years as a professional CAD designer and project coordinator in residential architecture, producing construction-ready documentation for luxury residential interiors across concurrent high-stakes projects. That precision is in everything I build.
Architecture taught me that every structure has a logic. UX taught me that every user has a story. I build at the place where both are true.
I’m open to internships, freelance work, or creative collaborations!
